YCH Project Limitations

I've decided to make this post about the limitations of the YCH Project because there are some things that are just impossible even if I wanted these features.  This is because there was a certain structure and method to the madness when I created the game.

Things not possible:

-Bodywriting, Semen, Etc. overlayed on the breasts of the girls is impossible, same for increasing the frames of animation on the breasts.  The breasts are a 4 frame loop that are called up frame by frame with code.  Since you can only call one action on an instance of a nested symbol at a time, it will be impossible to add overlays on the breasts.  

-Because the breasts are animated separately and called frame by frame, I also can't do boobjob animations for the same reasons overlays on the breasts are kind of impossible.   It's either bodywriting, and boobjob or every girl has the same boob size and skin color, there is no way around this.

-Voices for all the girls.  There is no way I can afford to hire voice actresses to get all the girls voiced.  A game as repetitive as this will also mean you will hear the same voice clips over and over if I just ripped some audio from their source material.  Besides with each girl I add, if each got voiced, the file bloat would be insane.  I also currently call audio from the library using actionscript instead of streaming it on the timeline.  It would probably also bloat the coding. Doesn't mean I'm not open to the idea of hiring voice actresses for other projects if I ever find the energy and money to make them. Something new like my previous Zone-tan games are possible.

-Changing the poses or changing the position of the head such as 3/4 view etc.  Something as drastic a change as this and I'd be better off creating a new game.  I rather spend that energy creating a new game if I had it in me.

Made this post since people are asking for features in the comments that are simply not possible with how the game is designed from the ground up.

I ended up starting work on a few things for this game...

-Added hands restrained to each side of the portrait so that they wiggle about.

-Increased Kizuna Ai's breast size to be medium sized.

-Work started on a character not on my waifu list, but for funsies.

I'll be taking a break from the project for the remainder of the month. You may commission a character to be added for $440 USD, if you want to be a big time supporter. Each month, I'll be adding one new girl. I will be choosing from my own list of waifus and will probably let patrons on my Patreon vote between which one I pick next. Voting will be for all tier levels. New planned features will also be voted on. The highest tier patrons will be invited to partake in a monthly random fighting game tournament, most likely through fightcade. Winner of the tournament will have their character chosen to be added. Commissioned girls will take a priority over other girls. There will only be 2 slots a month, considering how much work goes into implementing each girl swap.

Well 3rd girl is done... I am just testing for bugs, then I'll publish. I wanted to shill my Patreon in the game, but doing so actually causes the game to break, so I did the most insane roundabout way of fixing it imaginable. You might get a laugh out of it when you see the fix. Nudge nudge wink wink... Anyways, finishing touches...

Assets done, I'm not entirely happy with all the assets on her, but I'll just make do with it. It's really hard to capture the art style as she's a bit expressive. It's proving hard to balance consistency and expressiveness when creating her face assets. I'll need to finish animating her, and putting the game together and making sure everything works. It's pretty good progress.

Zone-tan is completed, instead of ahegao like Kizuna Ai, I gave her a very special state instead. I think you guys would like it. Next up, the 3rd legacy character! After I finish her, I can put everything together and release the game... Someone count how long it took for me to add Zone-tan. I lost track of time but ideally, I'd love to be able to finish a new character every week to week and a half. The coding hiccup definitely set me back some. Only finished fixing it yesterday.

I'm horribly exhausted. I need a break after today.

-Added and half animated a waist asset attached to the ass so that it doesn't look as out of place in motion.

Finished a couple of guro commissions, not sure if I'll post here or not. Meh... I'll continue my work on the flash game. Kizuna's Ahegao face has been adjusted to look better. I'm working on animating Zone-tan's head and drawing assets for her. This flash game is a fun project and all, but a brother's gotta eat... Commissions are always welcome.

By the way Shady Lewd Kart came out on steam for early access. The game is a whole lot of fun, kind of like a cross between Mario Kart with the drifting from Sega All Star Racing. You've probably played the demo here on Newgrounds at one point. It's actually a pretty serviceable Mario Kart clone on PC.
